26-year-old Katrina had been on contraceptive pills for a number of years until 2010, when she wanted to start a family. But after stop taking the pills she only had two irregular periods in a whole year, which made the conception impossible. One of her friends who had successful fertility treatment from me suggested she come to try acupuncture. Apart from the period problem, Katrina's general health was very good, so I decided to give her a simple treatment and only four acupuncture points on her lower back were used. A few weeks later she came back and told me that she just started a period a few days ago, which was 6 weeks after the previous one. After the second session she didn't come back because her next period was back to normal cycle. A year later I saw Katrina on the street pushing her new-born baby in a buggy.
