79 year-old Jean got out of bed one morning with a terrible pain from the right hip down to her right knee and shin. It came without any reason and was so intense that she could hardly move. She went to see the doctor and was asked to take 16 tablets each day. Unfortunately she felt sick, dizzy and sleepy after taking them, and the pain didn't get any better. Valery is a 58-year-old housewife. She had a sciatic pain on and off for about 12 years, and x-ray showed a slipped disc in her lower spine. A few months ago she had a fall, which made the pain a lot worse, even walking became a problem. The pain was from the lower back through the left thigh all the way down to her left foot.
